Before a buyer places a container order, they need paperwork. Import authorities need it. Retail buyers need it. Customs brokers need it.
Every Mr Basil product is manufactured under eight internationally recognised certifications. These certifications cover the full range including the 250ml can, 290ml glass bottle, Falooda milkshake glass bottle, and 1 litre PET bottle. The certificates ship with every order and most are available to download directly on this page.
Certified under: Halal, GMP, HACCP, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, BRC, FDA, FSSC 22000
GMP certification means our factories operate under documented guidelines covering raw material handling, production environment, packaging, storage, and dispatch. Every stage of manufacturing is controlled and audited.
For importers and retail buyers, GMP is one of the baseline requirements when approving a new beverage supplier. It is evidence that the process is managed properly, not just claimed to be.
HACCP is a science-based food safety system that identifies and controls hazards at every point in production. It is a legal requirement for food and beverage export into the EU and the US, and expected by most regulated markets globally.
In practice it means every stage of our production has been assessed for biological, chemical, and physical hazards. Control points are documented and monitored. For buyers listing products in regulated retail, HACCP is not optional.
All Mr Basil products are Halal certified. The certification covers ingredients, production processes, and packaging, confirmed by an internationally recognised Halal certifying body.
Halal certification is essential for the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia. It is also increasingly expected for mainstream retail listings in the UK, Europe, and North America. If you are distributing into any Halal-required channel, our certification means you can list and sell without additional documentation requirements.
ISO 9001:2015 is the international standard for quality management. It means The London Juice Company runs a documented, independently audited system for delivering consistent product quality.
Procurement teams at supermarket chains, wholesalers, and food service businesses use ISO 9001 as part of their supplier approval process. It tells them quality is managed systematically, not just described in a brochure.

ISO 22000:2018 combines the HACCP framework with ISO 9001-style quality management into a single food safety management system covering the entire supply chain.
It is required by major European and Asian retail buyers and demonstrates that our food safety controls extend beyond the factory floor. For buyers managing supply chains across multiple origins and markets, ISO 22000 is a practical assurance that our systems are built to global standards.

BRC is one of the most respected food safety standards for retail supply in the UK and Europe. Major British and European supermarket buying groups require BRC certification from their suppliers as a condition of listing.
If your target market includes UK or European retail chains, BRC certification removes a significant barrier. It puts Mr Basil on the same footing as established domestic suppliers in those markets when retail buyers are reviewing the supplier list.

Our products meet US FDA requirements for imported food and beverages. This covers distribution and retail listing across the United States and other markets that use FDA standards as part of their import compliance process.
FDA registration is a legal requirement for food and beverage products entering the US commercially. It is also used as a quality reference in Canada, parts of Latin America, and some Gulf state import frameworks. Your customs broker will ask for this documentation.

FSSC 22000 builds on ISO 22000 with additional sector-specific requirements. It is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) and is increasingly required by large retail buying groups worldwide as a condition of supplier approval.
Because GFSI recognises FSSC 22000 as equivalent to BRC and other benchmarked schemes, it gives you maximum flexibility when presenting our credentials to retail buyers across different markets. One certification, accepted across multiple frameworks.
Every container order comes with a full documentation pack:
BRC, FDA, and FSSC 22000 certificates are included on request. Tell us your documentation requirements during the enquiry stage and we will confirm exactly what we can provide. Market-specific documents like health certificates, phytosanitary certificates, or import permits can also be arranged.
