- Initial enquiry – Contact us with your target market, preferred format, estimated volume, and any flavour preferences. We respond within 2 business days.
- Sample review – We send samples from our existing 25+ flavour range so you can evaluate the product before committing to production.
- Label review – You send your brand artwork. We check the layout and copy against labelling requirements for your target market.
- Quotation – We send unit pricing, packaging costs, container loading specs, and lead time.
- Order confirmation and production – Order is scheduled. We send you a pre-shipment sample for approval before final packaging runs.
- Shipment and documentation – Full export documentation pack included: Halal certificate, GMP, HACCP, ISO certificates, COA, commercial invoice, packing list, and bill of lading.

Your Private Label Product is Fully Certified
Every product we manufacture under your brand carries the same certifications as the Mr Basil branded range:
GMP, HACCP, Halal, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, BRC, FDA, FSSC 22000
That means your product is ready to sell in UK and European retail (BRC), the US market (FDA), the Middle East and Muslim-majority markets (Halal), and any market requiring HACCP or ISO food safety compliance.

Private Label Questions
Q: What is the minimum order quantity for a private label product?
A: 1 x 40ft container per SKU. If you want to combine multiple SKUs, contact us to discuss how to structure a mixed container to keep quantities manageable.
Q: Can I use my own flavour recipe?
A: Our standard OEM programme uses our existing 25+ flavour range, which is the fastest route to market. Custom formulation is available on request and takes approximately 16 to 20 weeks from order confirmation, subject to volume and development requirements.
Q: How long does production take from order to shipment?
A: For existing flavours with label artwork ready: approximately 8 to 12 weeks. For custom flavour development: approximately 16 to 20 weeks. Contact us with your specific format and destination for a more accurate estimate.
Q: Do you help with label design?
A: We provide a compliance review to make sure your artwork meets the labelling requirements for your target market. Full label design services can be discussed on request.
Q: Are the certifications valid for my market?
A: Our certifications cover all major frameworks. BRC for UK and Europe, FDA for the US, Halal for MENA and Southeast Asia, plus HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, GMP, and FSSC 22000 for food safety compliance globally. If your market has a specific requirement not on that list, contact us and we will confirm whether our current documentation covers it.
Q: Can I order samples before committing to private label production?
A: Yes, and we recommend it. Contact us to arrange a sample pack from our existing flavour range. We send samples to qualified commercial buyers.
Q: Can I carry both private label and the Mr Basil branded range?
A: Yes. Many distribution partners carry both. The Mr Basil range for general retail and a private label product for specific retail customers or channels. Both can go in the same container. Contact us to talk through how that works for your territory.
